FORLANO DESIGN
Penelope Forlano has over 10 years experience in designing commercial and residential spaces in Australia and abroad since graduating from Curtin University of Technology. Designing at all scales of the built environment, from product to architectural design, Penelope has received considerable attention and awards. Experienced in commercial and residential interiors, from complete building refurbishments to furniture design, Forlano Design responds specifically to client's needs and budgets.
COMPOSITE DESIGN
Composite Design emerged as a collaboration between Glen Oldfield, principal of Composite Components, and Penelope. Glen's expertise in composite construction, patternmaking and prototyping, led the two to design, prototype and manufacture new products for the marketplace. The pair manufacture exclusively in Perth, Western Australia for the national and international markets.
With a conscious approach to avoid creating one more "fashionable" product that no-one really needs, Penelope responds to design problems with her design for life approach. Composite Design products are a direct result of Penelope's interior design experience and insight into gaps in the marketplace. Each piece incorporates Penelope’s commitment to sustainability and innovation, evident in the simplicity of designing for everyday needs and modern lifestyles.
